About me
Hello! Thank you so much for being here!
My name is Sofie, I’m a 22 year old painter and an artist in the lovely state of Washington, I am born and raised in Spokane Valley. You can typically find me hiking near a river with my pup Jane or painting in my cozy art room with a big cup of coffee! I’m currently working towards being a full time artist, and I would love to share my story of how I got here!
Since I was a kiddo I have been constantly creating, ( just ask my mom, she loves to tell everyone “She’s been painting since the day she could hold a paintbrush!” ) and that’s really where this passion started I guess.
I began my professional art journey in 2021 after I graduated high school and the pandemic was in full swing. I was 18 with not much to do besides what I loved doing, painting. I began painting rocks and small canvases and I sold a few here and there, I got a taste of what selling my art felt like... super super good! My first larger sale happened after I won first place at an art fair and someone loved the piece. Since then I have been extremely motivated and excited to continue creating and sharing my work with people like you!
These last few years have been really exciting for my art, I'm selling more originals, also getting more commission orders and just recently I had the opportunity to partake in an art showing! This was the first time I had ever displayed my art in a public place for all to see. Kind of terrifying... kinda cool. The Love, joy and support I received from this hanging of my art was unbelievable! This was a huge moment for me, a milestone a realization that maybe I could actually do this thing! I will continue to create, share my art and learn everyday. It is my goal to make the world a brighter and more beautiful place one brush stroke, canvas and peice of art at a time.
I create constantly because it’s who I am and where I come from. It quiets my mind and opens my heart, I learn from it and love it. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey with me.
